Hi, this is Bernie.
Welcome to the Brave Little Bear website.
'Brave bear' is the meaning of my name Bernadette.
Maybe you are on this website because you're pregnant and it's unexpected. You might be feeling alone, lost and scared. You could be feeling like your life and dreams have ended, and you probably feel so different from your friends right now - I know, I've been there. I had my son when I was 16. You can read more of my story below.
Take some time to chill out and browse this site. You'll begin to feel hope rising in your belly, despite the craziness you're in. You will find that others have been down this path and have come through the other side with happiness and maturity beyond their years. You will be able to lift your eyes to the future.
On this site you will find all sorts of stuff to help you make the most out of your journey through unexpected pregnancy to motherhood. You will be able to find out all of the facts you ever wanted to know about pregnancy and babies, through to help lines and online forums. You will also be able to find out about my own book, "Brave Little Bear: the inspirational story of a teenage mother".
